It’s official! Delineate has achieved certified installer/contractor status under the Fire Accreditation Scheme (FIRAS), thereby enabling the company to design and install fire-rated cavity barriers, and now also self-certify its own installations.

FIRAS is a national, voluntary, third party certification scheme for contractors of both passive and active fire protection systems and is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).  The scheme allows contractors, such as Delineate, to certify their own work, and that of other installers.

Contract director, Robbie Upton, believes that the company’s FIRAS certification adds another dimension to Delineates range of competences.  He comments: “Being FIRAS accredited means having greater control over our fire-rated installations, and it negates the need to bring in external organisations to determine that our installations are compliant, which means swifter commissioning on client contracts.
